Search for Users on Steam with a Username or Link on PC

Searches can be done on Steam using a username or a link. This can be done on the Community tab and Friends tab. Searches with a username are a bit tricky on Steam since they might return a large number of results to look from. A profile link is more accurate than a username search.

To search for someone on Steam with a username or link on the Community tab:

• Log in to Steam.
• Click on ‘Community’.
• Enter a username or link on the ‘Find People’ field.
• Press enter.
• From the results that come up, find the person you are looking for.

To search for someone on Steam with a username or link on the Friends tab:

• Log in to Steam.
• Tap on the ‘Friends and Chat’ option found at the bottom right.
• Enter the username or link on the search bar.
• Press enter.

Add Users on Steam with the Mobile App

The searches that can be performed on the Mobile App a slightly different than those on PC. You can still conduct most of the tasks that the desktop version has to offer.

To find users on Steam with the Mobile App:

• Launch the Steam App.
• Click on the ‘Friends’ tab.
• Go to the ‘Your Friends’ drop down arrow.
